UTEC - Educational Cooperation Agreement
UTEC - Educational Cooperation Agreement
Yesterday Ángel Lezcano and Sabina Clara Gleicher were at the Escuela Superior de Lechería, one of the UTEC – Universidad Tecnológica campus, to join the first meeting for participation in the Educational Cooperation Agreement for the development of Professional Curricular Practices. Referred Agreement consists of participating in the training of students of the alternation regime of the Technologist in Management of Dairy Production Systems.
The TMSPL is based on a combination of work placements at a training company (dairy) and students at the Nueva Helvecia Dairy School. So, as of March 2023 we will have a worker student as part of our team! 🚀🚀🚀
We thus hope to be able to contribute to the professional training of a young professional in the dairy sector.
We continue betting on the present and future of a key industry for Uruguay!🐮🌱🥛

November 2022 summary
November is gone and we couldn’t stop sharing some activities that we had throughout the month:
✅ 4/11 we participated in an OPEN DAY at our neighbors of the CRS. A tremendous instance where we toured the property and they shared with us very interesting results on two productive systems that they had throughout the year.
✅ 10/11 we had the closing of the activities of 2022 with the students from UTU – Dirección General de Educación Técnico – Profesional We’ll miss u guys!
✅ 11/11 we were at the Jersey Day organized by the Jersey Breeders Society of Uruguay at “Sueno Cumplido” milking farm. A family of dairy farmers who are “converting” their herd to 100% Jersey. Very enriching instance.
✅ 14/11 to 18/11 we received the UTEC student for his induction week. On this occasion, our entire team shared with him information about the different dairy processes. See you in March, Facundo!
✅ 21/11 we received a group of students from the Gilberto Iglesis High School in Progreso who came to carry out a survey with rural workers for a sociology project. It was really nice to have you.
✅ 25/11 we went to Conaprole’s productive and economic results presentation. Very interesting to see the evolution of the country’s dairy!
A busy month as we like!
Conaprole's Grass Fed certification
Conaprole's Grass Fed certification
Campo Longley is a dairy that has sent milk from its Jersey cows to the National Milk Producers Cooperative (Conaprole Dairy Nutrition) for more than 10 years. As part of the Cooperative, we are the ones who, to a great extent, guarantee the quality of the products under Conaprole brand. How we do it? Feeding our cows with diets composed of 85% or more of grass and that the feed available in the dairy is exclusively of plant origin. And how is that ensured? Thanks to Grass Fed certification.
In addition to such important verification, the Certification includes the following control points:
➡️ NO USE OF HORMONES OR ANTIBIOTICS
➡️ TRACEABILITY
➡️ ANIMAL WELFARE
➡️ SOCIAL DIMENSION
This year we were one of the dairy farms randomly selected for the annual audit that renews the GrassFed certification carried out by Conaprole Dairy Nutrition + Quality Austria). Yesterday we received a visit from Conaprole staff together with the LSQA auditor. After the visit and tour we received MORE THAN POSITIVE feeedback about our animals, facilities, processes and system.
The opportunity to confirm that what we do is endorsed by an international certifier fills us with pride.
